Background

Unlike most prideful Duskwight's who resorted to living in caverns, Ethan had sought for something more than to sit and preserve their dying heritage. He did not wish to hold on to such a bitter past as it was simply a lifestyle he didn't wish to continue.Despite the bad reputation this race has grown to have, he took no mind to the looks or head shakes of those whom he passed. Instead he focused his time and most his energy to travels, occasionally writing and collecting knowledge for no one other than himself (after all he was so used to solitude.) Starting out, he generally preferred to avoid being in the presence of others unless it was strictly required.

That would later change as he grew an interest in arcane magics and the summons that came with it. He found himself favoring Scholars, and took the opportunity to practice with them where possible.
He became quite a studious and well practiced medic along side his skills of being a well trained hunter capable of using both the bow and later in his travels, the gunblade. Occasionally he would experiment with music, as the nomadic lifestyle he had made from himself often lead to moments of solitude and provided some form of stimulation. He generally took pride in his skills but was generally one to avoid drawing any form of attention to himself and instead focused in learning more and improving himself.

These days the Elezen himself appears as always quiet and composed, however his youth could be seen as somewhat reckless (a regretful reflection at times), due to the consequences of some actions as he began to take on rather large ambitions. During some point during his travels he met an Auri monk. The two, despite being almost polar opposites when it came to their mindsets and personality, grew to find comfort in each others company and continued to adventure together while their goals aligned. An insistence to follow the same path and not separate.

For Ethan, it was the first time that he finally felt that he'd found a close companion. Dæn had grown to feel the same way. As time passed and their friendship grew, they chose to swear to one another that they would consider themselves as brothers. There was comfort to be found in one another's presence and voices, instead of the dead silence and solitude that Ethan was so used to.But like most good things, it had come to an end. His own need for adventure and studies and Daen's own personal agendas had caused the two to drift apart in their roads. Initially the parting of one another felt rather unfavorable however, they both had promised to still call upon each other if ever they need via link contacts.

As his journey continued, the Scholar eventually found himself catching up with his brother by chance; happy for him to learn that he is rather busy these days due to his own obligations but is still well off. He overlooked the explainable hollow feeling created by such news. Instead focused his own thirst for adventuring, which still remains strong and he continues to search in hopes of gaining further exposure and experience that would, maybe one day, fulfill his own desires.Ultimately Ethan hopes that these adventures will bring him one step closer to understanding the world and what part individuals have to play. In doing so he also wished for it to solidify his own understanding of existence and what is required for someone to build a sense of belonging to somewhere or someone.
